Building Dedication

Today is the long awaited building dedication. Abigail and I went up there about 2 and was there until 6 getting the nursery area ready to go. I love how everything looks except... Yes I know it hasn't even opened yet and I already have a grip. It's just a little one but I gotta put it out there.The soap dispensers annoy me! It's those that you push at a button and the soap basically comes out on the button. I immediately thought of how fast that is going to get gunky. OK now that I have said that I can move on. LOL I know, I'm weird. Anyways I pray everything will go smoothly today. I'm sad that I will probably miss the service itself since I will be in the nursery area but that's ok. They installed a sound system in the infant and toddler classrooms so that they can hear the service so that's cool. Also one of the cutest things is that connected to the toddler classroom they have their own bathroom with a little toilet and little sink. I will take some pics today and post. Abigail sat on the little potty and loved it, she also loved the little sink that she didn't have to stand on anything to wash her hands. :) Her favorite thing of all though is the little water fountain at her level. She kept playing in it yesterday and soaked her shirt with water. SIGH. At least she had a good time. Then today we are going to lunch with the Dixons so I'm excited to catch up with them. Today is going to have awesome weather too so I pulled out one of Abigail's spring dresses from storage to enjoy today. Who knows how long the nice weather will last. I was on a desperate search this week for one of her black dress shoes with no luck. May have to break down and buy another set. :(

Finally!

Well Abigail finally agreed to wear her fairy wings and a princess skirt so she was a fairy princess. Before going to the church we went up to Dave and Busters. I had a $10 free credit that was going to expire yesterday so we met up with Shannon, Lauren, Dean, Tyler, and Natalie up there. The kids have a fun time playing together (I think the adults did too!). Forgot to bring my camera inside so no pics there. I was pretty busy keeping up with Abigail anyways. Then we went over to the church for the Trunk or Treat. Abigail had a blast there. We took the camcorder and shot that some and took a few pics. They had the slide and moonbounce up so she enjoyed that along with hot dogs and popcorn to eat with the candy. Yesterday Travis worked so Abigail and I went to my parents for ice cream cake for my birthday, Courtney's birthday and David's birthday. I received some birthday money so that will go towards gas and food. Yipee. I miss the days where birthday money was for fun without a second thought. Oh well. Sunday will be the first service in the new building so I'm excited! It will make the checkin process much easier.

We just came back from my birthday lunch at BD's Mongolian BBQ. YUM. Before lunch we went to Victoria's Secret b/c I had a coupon for a free pair of panties, no purchase required. I can't believe the pair I picked out was priced at $10.50! For one pair that's crazy. Anyways so that was my gift to me from me. LOL Then we went over to BD's. I had a coupon for a free meal so we used that. Tonight Abigail and I may go up to Long Horn Steakhouse to use my free meal coupon there. Just depends if this rain lets up or not. We'll see. Abigail is either going to be a bumblebee or a pumpkin for Halloween. Right now she refuses to try either one on. I don't know if they scare her of if she's just being stubborn.

Out one end..

..and out the other! My poor Abigail was sick yesterday. Her cousins have been sharing a 24 hour type bug between the two of them and not with her so now it was her turn. She woke up yesterday and had thrown up in her bed. Eeeewwww. The joys of motherhood. Anyways I cleared her bed out and stripped her for the bathtub. The only casualty was her princess pillow. It had the majority of the mess on it and since it is one of those "spot clean only" pillows and smelled horrible it went bye bye. I figure with Christmas coming up soon I will just buy her a new pillow. Anyways she didn't throw up again but did have some bad diarrhea. She had three which for the whole day really isn't too bad. But they were like water so very messy. So we didn't go to church. But she was really wanting to go to Bina's and since it is one of those magical virus' that seems to only be passed onto other kids I said ok. If she was really bad off we would've stayed home but we had told her Saturday that we were going to Bina's Sunday so she was really excited. So we went up there and I received the first of my birthday gifts. Bina gave me a nice top and some money and Bonnie gave me a nice coupon book for lots of area places including PowerPlay and an air freshener, which is always used. ;) We had a yummy caramel applespice cake with ice cream and Popeyes for lunch. YUM. So besides Abigail being sick and missing church so she doesn't get others sick it was a good day. Last night when I put her down for bed she asked where her pillow was. :( I told her she has a new pillow (a Care Bear one) so she lived with it. Hopefully she is feeling better today.

Finally the weekend

It is finally the weekend! We put in the new (to us) tv in the living room Wednesday from the hotel. Yipee! I have been blessed this week with various birthday offers from tons of places. I went thru all of the bday signups on Freebies 4 Mom and signed up for everything I was interested in. My faves are free meal at B.D. Mong BBQ, free meal at Long Horn Steakhouse, free creamslush at Sonic, and free ice cream at Cold Stone. I received free coupons for dessert and other things from other places but not as good as the other coupons. Now I just have to find time to use them! :) I have a gift card for Outbackt that I was going to use for my bday but I will probably save that for a date night and use one of the free meal coupons instead. Abigail and I are going out since Travis is working. Is anyone else noticing that blogger isn't updating the blog lists? I have everyone's blogs listed on the side and it is supposed to update them but some aren't updating. Oh well. Tonight Abigail have no plans so we may use of the coupons, or just stay home. Haven't decided yet. David is sick so we're not watching him. Tomorrow I'm going to my mom's house for her Pamp Chef party. We were talking about taking Abigail to the pumpkin patch this weekend but I don't think we'll have the extra money. Travis' phone isn't working so he bought another one on Ebay for $18. Love EBay!! I know lots of people are crazy for Craigslist but I've never had any luck. Anyways I'm rambling now so I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Where did the weekend go?

It just doesn't feel like it should be Monday. Oh well. I was able to accomplish a lot this weekend. Travis had to work Saturday from 7:30 to 4:30 so Abigail and I spent the day at home. I was able to clean out my bathtub, clean the sink, wipe out the microwave (it was really bad!), sweep the floor, and a few other things. Abigail and I had a nice quiet day together. She was being stubborn though and wouldn't take a nap. I think she is coming down with a cold or something. The last couple of days she has been kind of warm at nighttime and fussy. I've been giving her Tylenol but it may be time to get her some cold medicine. She has been coughing too. She seems to be doing good during the day, except for her runny nose, and just starts really feeling bad towards the end of the day. Yesterday Travis had to work so we went out to my parents house. We picked up some of Violet's clothes from last winter so Abigail should be good to go with clothes. There was a black turtleneck in there so I don't have to buy anything for her costume. :) We had Taco Bueno for dinner last night-yum. With our coupons we were able to get seven tacos (two beef, three steak, and two chicken) and a cinnamon dessert for $5 so that was a good deal. I was not feeling good this morning. That time of month and my eczema was acting up on my hands so I was up from about 12:30 to 2 this morning until I finally took a sleeping pill and slept hard. I will probably take another sleeping pill tonight before bed so I can be sure to get a good nights sleep. Wednesday I will be getting a new (to me) tv from the hotel. We are switching out our old tvs for new ones and each employee is getting one of the old tvs so that will replace the living room tv. Well I better get back to work. ;)
